Pause Acne Treatments

Stop using acne creams or treatments 4 weeks prior, as these can thin and oversensitize your skin.

Avoid Antibiotics, if Possible

Antibiotics may slow the healing process, which typically takes 2 weeks. If you're on them, healing may take longer.

Skip Laser and Chemical Peels

Avoid laser treatments and chemical peels for at least 4 weeks to prevent skin irritation or damage.

Avoid Sunburns

Sunburned skin will not retain pigment effectively. Protect your skin from the sun leading up to your appointment.

Limit AHA Products

Discontinue using products with Alpha Hydroxy Acids, retinoids, or other anti-aging ingredients to reduce premature fading.

Hydrate Your Skin

Drink plenty of water and moisturize daily to maintain healthy skin.

PERMANENT MAKEUP PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Achieving beautiful, long-lasting brow tattoos starts with proper preparation. Following our pre-care instructions is essential to ensure the best results from your procedure.

Browse our detailed pre-care guide below, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help you every step of the way!

Hands Off Your Brows

  • Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing your brows during the healing process. This can lead to pigment loss, scarring, or uneven healing.

  • Let any scabs or flakes fall off naturally.

Protect from Moisture and Sun

  • Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, saunas, or long showers that expose your brows to excessive moisture.

  • Protect your brows from direct sunlight by wearing a hat when outdoors. Sun exposure can cause fading and disrupt healing.

Ditch the Makeip

Do not apply makeup, lotions, or skincare products near your brows for at least 10 days. These products can interfere with healing and pigment retention.

Avoid Exfoliants and Treatments

Skip exfoliating products, peels, or other facial treatments during the healing process. These can prematurely remove scabs or flakes, affecting results.

Sleep on Your Back

Sleep on your back for the first few days to avoid rubbing your brows on your pillow. This helps protect the healing area.

Stay Hydrated and Nourished

  • Drink plenty of water to support overall skin healing.

  • Maintain a balanced diet rich in vitamins A, C, and E to promote skin regeneration.
